A Tribe Called Quest este o formatie de hip-hop din America, care a luat nastere in anul 1988. Din acest grup face parte Q-Tip aka Kamal Fareed (mc si producator), Phife Dawg aka Malik Taylor si Ali Shaheed Muhammad (dj si producator). Cel de-al patrulea (fost) membru al formatiei, si anume Jarobi White, a parasit grupul dupa ce a iesit pe piata primul lor album. Insa se pare ca din 2006 acesta a revenit in grup.
Alaturi de o alta formatie de hip-hop, De La Soul, ATCQ a fost una dintre partile centrale ale gruparii Native Tongues Posse (grupare a unor artisti hip-hop care erau caracterizati in mod special prin felul lor de a gandi pozitiv – lucru ce il puneau in practica atunci cand compuneau versurile melodiilor lor. Melodii ce mai tarziu aveau sa devina extrem de cunoscute si apreciate).
ATCQ au reusit sa faca o combinatie reusita de jazz si hip-hop pe albumele pe care le-au lansat pe parcursul activitatii lor muzicale. Albumele sunt:
